First Comes a Butterfly by Sherry Krehbiel, illustrated by Simon Mendez was launched with an interview between Miriam Laundry and myself, Sherry Krehbiel on Oct. 28, 2024.

The next day was my opportunity to read my book for the first time to students at Haven Academy in Salina. It was magical. They listened with eyes open wide. I had captured their imaginations. I felt indescribable joy as I interacted with their imaginations.
